Refund Policy

Try Notesier free before you pay, cancel whenever you like, and reach out if something goes wrong. Here’s exactly how refunds and cancellations work.

Our approach

We want you to be confident before you pay. That’s why Notesier has a genuinely useful free plan — use it to explore the editor, AI features, and citations and decide whether a paid plan is right for you before spending anything.

This Refund Policy explains when payments are and aren’t refundable. It’s written to be fair to genuine customers while protecting against abuse, and it does not affect any statutory rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Monthly & yearly subscriptions

Paid subscriptions (Plus and Pro) are billed in advance for the period you choose. Because access is granted immediately and used throughout the period:

  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for the current billing period, including partially used periods.
  • You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future renewals and keeps your plan active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for — there are no prorated refunds for the unused portion.
  • We do not provide automatic refunds for forgetting to cancel before a renewal, but see “Refunds we do honor” below — we’re reasonable about prompt, good-faith requests.

Founders 100 (one-time offer)

The Founders 100 offer is a limited, one-time payment for three years of access at a heavily discounted price. Because it’s a discounted lifetime-style deal with limited seats:

  • It is non-refundable once access has been granted and meaningfully used.
  • As a courtesy, we offer a 14-day refund window from purchase only if the account has not substantially used paid features in that time.

Refunds we do honor

We will review and, where appropriate, issue a refund for:

  • Duplicate or accidental charges (e.g. you were billed twice for the same plan).
  • Billing errors or charges in an incorrect amount.
  • Charges after a timely cancellation that didn’t take effect due to a fault on our side.
  • A prolonged, unresolved outage that prevented you from using a paid feature for an extended period and that our team could not fix.
  • Any case where a refund is required by applicable law or your statutory consumer rights.

Cases that are not refundable

To keep pricing fair for everyone, we generally cannot refund:

  • change of mind after you’ve had access to and used paid features;
  • dissatisfaction with AI output quality, where the free plan was available to evaluate it first;
  • failure to cancel before an automatic renewal (outside a prompt, good-faith request);
  • unused time remaining on a subscription you choose to stop using;
  • accounts suspended or terminated for breaching our Terms of Service; or
  • repeated or abusive refund requests.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

UK/EU cooling-off. Consumers in the UK and EU normally have a 14-day right to cancel digital services. Where you ask us to begin providing the Service immediately (for example, by using paid features right away), you acknowledge that this can end the cooling-off right once the service has been fully provided, to the extent permitted by law.

Customers in Malaysia, Australia, and other regions retain all rights provided by their local consumer protection laws.

How to request a refund

Contact us through the Help Center or email hello@notesier.com with the email on your account, the charge date, and a short description of the issue.

  • We aim to respond within 5 business days.
  • Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe; the time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card provider.

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us, or doing so in bad faith, may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.
